These are some old 35mm slides scanned in from Monterey, California from years back. There are a couple new ones from February of this year when I revisited the area as well.

Green Savannah Stables

These were taken last month with our Palmettoshutterbug group at Green Savannah Stables in Sumter, SC. Several of these were in the May 12, 2008 newspaper, The Item. This was the first time I ever shot horses like this, and it was a lot of fun and a good time with other photogs.

Beginnings...

Just starting this blog for photos. Previously, I had setup my own website with photo slideshows - see http://worksoflightbydave.com/, but now I am finally going to blog also! I have been shooting digital since 2002, but have long shot 35mm as well as medium format in the distant past. I like to capture the world around me, as I see it. I believe that the wonder God put in this world needs to be seen, captured in ways that are appealing, and then shared with others.

Some of my shots have been in the Sumter Living magazine and The Item newspaper.
