Just starting this blog for photos. Previously, I had setup my own website with photo slideshows - see http://worksoflightbydave.com/, but now I am finally going to blog also! I have been shooting digital since 2002, but have long shot 35mm as well as medium format in the distant past. I like to capture the world around me, as I see it. I believe that the wonder God put in this world needs to be seen, captured in ways that are appealing, and then shared with others.
Some of my shots have been in the Sumter Living magazine and The Item newspaper. I belong to the local photo club chapter here in Sumter, SC http://www.palmettoshutterbugs.com/ (Forum is at: http://www.palmettoshutterbugs.com/forum/index.php,) and will post some of my shots and ramblings here. - I am a Christ follower, a disciple, ever since September 13, 1980. My first blog was a photography site, as my first love before being drawn to Jesus was that art. In fact, my first year as a Christian was in photogenic Monterey California, where I began my lifelong journey of sanctification. Just three years later I was involved in the Navigators and began having consistent daily devotions, quiet times, with God. For the past ten years I have been reading sequentially through the Bible and posting my insights on FaceBook. I moved these to this blog and now daily post here to reach more people and share the wonders of God’s word as I meet with Him every day.
